Capital Growth Medvest has started development on a two-story, 40-bed specialty hospital for a newly formed joint-venture by Kindred Healthcare and UofL Health, which is partnering to provide high-quality inpatient rehabilitation services in Louisville, Ky.

The 55,000-square-foot facility has been designed to serve patients recovering from stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, complex neurological disorders or similar medical problems. The rehab hospital will have all private rooms, a large multidisciplinary gym and therapeutic courtyard with exterior amenities. This project will represent the fourth rehabilitation hospital developed by Medvest for a Kindred joint-venture.

"[It] will increase access to our rehab services, addressing unmet needs in our growing community."Tom Miller
